<Canoe Trip Leader>

Description: This course is intended for those that wish to lead multi-day wilderness canoe trips. It will provide the participant with enhanced tripping skills emphasizing trip planning, risk analysis and crisis management. The course is conducted while on an six day river trip with ample opportunity to put new skills and knowledge into practice. The trip will provide for participants to fulfil leadership roles in a challenging environment but with a supportive group.

This course is designed to encompass three ORCKA skills certifications designated as the prerequisites for the ORCKA Canoe Tripping Level 3 (Trip Leader) certification.

These skills course are:

Canadian Style Paddling Level 1

River Running Level 1 A (tandem)

Canoe Tripping Level 1,2,3

Final Trip Leader certification will be dependant upon completing all ORCKA prerequisites for CT 3 (Trip Leader) certification.
